Veldbloem Design was founded in Utrecht with a straightforward belief: outdoor spaces in the Netherlands should be planned around rain, clay soil, and changing light — not copied from Mediterranean mood boards.
We work primarily with homeowners who want a coherent plan before any digging begins. That means surveying drainage patterns, noting where winter sun actually reaches, and selecting plants that survive a damp February without looking neglected by March.
Our workspace sits at Oudegracht 188, where we prepare planting schedules, terrace layouts, and material specifications. Site visits take us across Utrecht city, the surrounding villages, and occasionally into neighbouring provinces for larger terrace projects.
We collaborate with local contractors for paving and structural work, but every planting plan and layout drawing comes from our studio.
