Do you carry out the construction work?

We focus on design and planning. For paving, fencing, and structural terrace work we prepare specifications and can recommend contractors we have worked with in Utrecht. Planting can be arranged through our partners or completed by you using our plant list.

How long does a garden redesign take?

From initial consultation to final drawings, a typical city garden project takes four to six weeks. Seasonal planting refreshes are usually completed within two weeks. Timelines depend on site complexity and how quickly you provide feedback on draft plans.

Can you work with clay soil and poor drainage?

Most Utrecht gardens sit on heavy clay. We assess where water collects, recommend raised beds or drainage adjustments where needed, and select plants that tolerate wet winters — including sedges, astilbe, and certain hydrangea varieties.

What is included in the €120 consultation?

A 90-minute site visit, notes on light and drainage, initial planting suggestions, and a short written summary sent within five working days. It is suitable as a standalone service or as the first step toward a full redesign.

Do you design roof terraces?

Yes. Roof terrace projects start at €1,480 and include weight considerations, container specifications, and wind-resistant planting. We coordinate with your building manager or structural engineer when load limits apply.

Which areas do you serve?

We are based in Utrecht and regularly work in surrounding municipalities including De Bilt, Zeist, Houten, Nieuwegein, and Maarssen. See our service areas page for the full list.

How do revisions work?

City garden and full package projects include two rounds of revisions on the layout and planting plan. Additional changes are billed at €95/h. Seasonal planting refreshes include one revision round.
